Week 6 – The Compass

The power of attention can be more redily understood by comparing it with a magnifying glass in which the rays of sunlight are focused; they possess no particular strength as long as the glass is moved about and the rays directed from one place to another; but let the glass be held perfectly still and let the rays be focused on one spot for any length of time, the effect will become immediately apparent. So with the power of thought; let power be dissipated by scattering the thought through attention or concentration on any single purpose for any length of time and nothing becomes impossible. – From lesson 6 of The Master Key System by Chareles F Hannel.

Last week I received a toy compass and a small magnifying glass in the mail from my Master Key Expereince guide Claes. I knew there had to be some reason why he sent them and as I was getting ready for bed that evening I glanced at my bookcase and noticed an unread book I had purchase several years ago but had forgotten about.

I have 5 large bookcases holding many books but because I was curious behind the reason for the compass and glass the titled of the book caught my attention.

That book was ” The Compass” From Where You Are… To Where You Want To Be – by Tammy Kling & John Spencer Ellis

I opened the book to the first chapter and read these words “Sometimes you must let go of the life you had planned for in order to  make room for the life ahead of you.”

Curious about the authors I started to read about them on the inside of the dust cover… John Spencer Ellis is America’s leading expert on fitmess, personal development and helping people attain their personal goals, he decided he wanted to do something on a grander scale. The Compass – the book, the film and the accompanying music – is that project. John is also the executive producer of the documentary film.

Tammy Kling is an international author and literrary coach. Writing The Compass was a journey in itself for Tammy – she spent many days alone in the woods, sleeping beneath the stars, so that she could write with no distraction. Her life purpose is to write books that change lives.

After reading that I Googled her name and found this video of Tammy… If you watch it… notice what she says about words and how words are currency. Which reminds me of another qoute from The Master Key System “Accuracy in building words and sentences are the highest form of architect in civilization and is a passport to success”

So now I know the toy compass and magnifying glass are to remind me to focus my attention and follow my true north.

Cheers,

Steve
